Community

Take enough people to the middle of nowhere that it becomes somewhere.

The Village of Forget (population, approximately 48) is a diverse community which includes independent people who (mostly) know each other’s names. As neighbours, the Villagers of Forget strive to support each other’s endeavours, while choosing to also be respectful of each
other’s privacy.

Forget is a Village with limited public services which requires households to haul their own water and sewer. This serves to attract a special type of resident.

Over the years, the Villagers of Forget have helped each other in times of trouble, demonstrated that they value community, the arts, small and local businesses, great food, solid conversations and respectful boundaries.

A community committee is currently planning events and will post on Facebook and on the Community bulletin board as times and dates are finalized.

History

Forget Village Historical committee is in the process of…

Creating a document which honours the pre-settlement, settlement , growth and development of the village as well as the personalities which have contributed to our location.

This will be updated in time as the committee establishes their timeline.
